Beside the Square Towncentre in Tallaght, and adjacent to
McDonalds, there is walkway that is use quite heavily be pedestrians.
Well it was, until it was closed off weeks ago, for a major refurbishment.
This has meant that people have to make a detour past the Garda Station and ads around six minutes to your journey.

It has also deprived pedestrians of shelter when caught in a sudden downpour.
It must be at least 7 weeks ago now since the walkway was
shut off, and the original structure removed, in advance of being replaced by
the new design.
Yet as I walked around it on Sunday, it looked to me like barely anything had been done for weeks.

Now I could be wrong, and more earth works etc could have taken place, but
surely with an army of men working on the project, the job should have been
well finished by now?
I would love to know what is holding the whole process up?
As a highly utilised public amenity it needs to be completed and re-opened ASAP.
